About the event
Are you a ramen enthusiast? Do YOU ramen?
Look no further. In this unique pottery class, you will create your very own signature bowl.
Will your bowl include resting dints for your chopsticks? Is it going to have intricate patterns? Are you going for a rounded shape or a V shape? We can’t wait to see!
Don’t worry if ramen isn’t your thing, feel free to make a bowl to enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner out of!
Looking for something fun and different to do? The perfect occasion to spend a fun couple of hours with friends, family members or a date. Also, a fabulous solo-date as you will meet and mingle with like-minded creatives as many people book in on their own too. This event is light hearted, sociable, creative and an all-around vibe!
Absolutely no experience needed, this is a beginner friendly class. Step by step guidance will be provided including all the materials needed to create your masterpiece. Your bowls will then be fired in the ClayLife kiln and then glazed with the finish of your choice.
This event will be taking part at Hello Oriental, a vibrant and quirky ramen restaurant in the heart of the city centre.
Food and a lovely selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available to buy on the day. This venue is access friendly.
Here is a general oversight of how the session will run:
4:45pm: people will start arriving, during this time you can buy a glass of whatever you’re drinking and start to settle down before the session begins.
5pm: The workshop will begin, Nina will take you through the process step by step. There are no allocated breaks during these sessions. However feel free to take a break whenever desired whether to take a breath of fresh air or buy another drink and if you have missed anything, Nina will catch you up.
6:50pm: the workshop will be coming towards the end and you can now start thinking which colour glaze you will be selecting.
7pm: the workshop will now come to an end, you can leave behind your ramen bowls. They will be taken to the ClayLife studio in Hope Mill, Ancoats, where they will spend the next couple of weeks drying, being bisque fired and then glaze fired. This will take two weeks (give or take) and then a collection time will be organised or for an additional fee we can organise postage.
