About our studio sessions
Studio Sessions are a more personal, flexible way to experience ClayLife. Designed for individuals and smaller groups, they offer extra guidance, creative freedom and the chance to make something completely your own. Whether you’re completely new to clay or have a specific idea in mind, you’ll have a relaxed space to learn, experiment and create at your own pace. ***How Booking Works*** Studio Sessions are booked by request rather than instant booking, allowing us to offer more flexibility with dates and times. Simply submit your preferred date, time and group size using the booking form. ***Please note*** that dates shown on the booking calendar are requestable rather than guaranteed availability. Once we receive your request, we’ll check the studio diary and confirm your session before sending a payment link. We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, particularly for evenings and weekends, as these are our most popular times. ***Pricing*** 1 person — £85 2 people — £140 3 people — £195 4 people — £240 5–10 people — £50pp 11–20 people — £45pp A standard Studio Session lasts 2 hours. ***The Studio*** Sessions take place at the ClayLife studio in Hope Mill, Ancoats a characterful historic cotton mill. * Tailored to your ideas and skill level * Plenty of guidance throughout * Make whatever you like, within reason and the session timeframe (go check out our gallery for some inspiration!) * Ideal for developing techniques or exploring a specific project * Free parking on site A standard session is suitable for most beginner-friendly hand-built pieces, including mugs, bowls, candle holders, trinket dishes and small vases. If you have something more unusual or ambitious in mind, feel free to get in touch beforehand so we can help you plan it. Whether it’s a creative date, catch-up with friends, solo clay time or something a little different for an office/team outing, Studio Sessions are a laid-back way to get together, get your hands dirty and make something genuinely your own. ***Firing, Glazing & Collection*** Once you’ve finished making, choose your glaze colour from our selection and we’ll take care of the firing and glazing. We’ll contact you when your ceramics are ready to collect. Please allow approximately 1–2 months. Delivery can also be arranged for an additional fee, calculated according to the size, weight and quantity of your pieces
